Working in a small team reporting to the Platform Manager you will be responsible for the timely resolution of end user support requests escalated from the global IS&T Helpdesk. The Desktop Support Engineer will also be responsible for the provision of second line support via telephone to other sites across EMEA which do no have their own local IS&T representative.
Essential Skills for the role:
A minimum of 3 years supporting Windows 2000 or above in a complex multi-platform environment. A minimum of 3 years support Office 2000 or above in a Microsoft Exchange driven environment. Extensive experience diagnosing and resolving remote access issues, especially VPN. Extensive experience of TCP*IP network troubleshooting and diagnostics. At least one Microsoft MCP qualification (Full MCSE desirable).
